Amorphous Silicon Solar Panel Production Processing

Let go to the factory and see the production processing .
It’s about 13step:
1 make SnO2 condutive glass . (as we know glass don’t conduct electricity , when we want to change it’s performance , we should add a thin film , TCO (transparent conduction oxide ) so that it can transmit electricity ,and visible light can pass through .
Now we don’t have these machine , so we import the TCO glass from German and Japan .next year , we will start to produce the TCO glass in our factory .
2. Use Red laser-light cut SnO2
Now one glass is one solar cell ,we use red laser-light to cut it into 36 solar cells .
The light diameter is less than 100um
And speed is faster than 500 meter per second .
3. after this step , there are some dust, we use special machine to crean them .
4.to mount the creaning glass to “deposition jip” ,push the jip to preherter furnace.
5. after that ,move to PECVD furnace ,make the chemical vapor deposition .(p-i-n)
6. cool the glass naturally .
7. use the green laser light to cut “pin” film into small cells .
8. plate the aluminium at the back , to form back elecctrode .
9. I-V testing .
10. aging testing
11. use UV (Ultraviolet Rays) glue to protect
12. Encapsulation:Laminator ,Aluminium frame with junction box assemble cable with battery clamps.
13. finish testing and packing

Photovoltaic Basics

Have you ever wondered how electricity is produced by a photovoltaic — what we often call a PV or solar electric — system? let's start from the basics of PV technology. which includes the underlying physics, how various PV devices are designed and become fully functional systems, and what's happening today in PV research and development.
Are you interested in solar electricity, but not sure what "photovoltaic conversion efficiency" means? You're not alone. In fact, because technical terms like these come up frequently, especially in discussions of photovoltaics (PV), let's step by step to understand of the
definitions of many important terms having to do with electricity, power generation, concentrating solar power (CSP), solar heating, solar lighting, and solar electricity, also known as PV.

1. PV Physics
What do we mean by photovoltaics? First used in about 1890, the word has two parts: photo, derived from the Greek word for light, and volt, relating to electricity pioneer Alessandro Volta. So, photovoltaics could literally be translated as light-electricity. And that's what photovoltaic (PV) materials and devices do — they convert light energy into electrical energy (Photoelectric Effect), as French physicist Edmond Becquerel discovered as early as 1839.
Commonly known as solar cells, individual PV cells are electricity-producing devices made of semiconductor materials. PV cells come in many sizes and shapes — from smaller than a postage stamp to several inches across. They are often connected together to form PV modules that may be up to several feet long and a few feet wide. Modules, in turn, can be combined and connected to form PV arrays of different sizes and power output.
The size of an array depends on several factors, such as the amount of sunlight available in a particular location and the needs of the consumer. The modules of the array make up the major part of a PV system, which can also include electrical connections, mounting hardware, power-conditioning equipment, and batteries that store solar energy for use when the sun isn't shining.
Did you know that PV systems are already an important part of our lives? Simple PV systems provide power for many small consumer items, such as calculators and wristwatches. More complicated systems provide power for communications satellites, water pumps, and the lights, appliances, and machines in some people's homes and workplaces. Many road and traffic signs along highways are now powered by PV. In many cases, PV power is the least expensive form of electricity for performing these tasks.
2.The Photoelectric Effect
In 1839, Edmond Becquerel discovered the process of using sunlight to produce an electric current in a solid material. But it took more than another century to truly understand this process. Scientists eventually learned that the photoelectric or photovoltaic (PV) effect caused certain materials to convert light energy into electrical energy at the atomic level.
The photoelectric effect is the basic physical process by which a PV cell converts sunlight into electricity. When light shines on a PV cell, it may be reflected, absorbed, or pass right through. But only the absorbed light generates electricity.
The energy of the absorbed light is transferred to electrons in the atoms of the PV cell. With their newfound energy, these electrons escape from their normal positions in the atoms of the semiconductor PV material and become part of the electrical flow, or current, in an electrical circuit. A special electrical property of the PV cell—what we call a "built-in electric field"—provides the force, or voltage, needed to drive the current through an external "load," such as a light bulb.

What is Solar Power ?

Solar power is energy that is derived from the sun and converted into heat or electricity. It is a versatile source of renewable energy that can be used in an amazing number of applications, providing power for everything from cars and boats to houses and spacecraft. Solar power is also clean and pollution-free.

For many years, solar power has been used in traditional buildings. In recent years, however, it has provoked great interest, as the high cost and limited supply of fossil fuels becomes increasingly problematic in some developed countries. Many businesses and institutions are researching new ways to harness solar power and make its use more practical and effective. However, solar power is already in widespread use in remote locations where access to other power sources is limited.

Energy from the sun is converted into solar power using solar collectors, most commonly known as solar panels. Solar panels consist of solar cells designed to capture energy from the sun. The solar panels used in heating air and liquid are different from those used to provide electricity. To absorb the highest possible amount of solar energy, solar panels must be pointed at the sun.

Energy from the sun can be converted into solar power in two ways. The first way involves the use of solar thermal applications. Solar thermal applications use the sun's energy to provide direct heat to air or liquid. Solar thermal panels can be used for both residential and larger-scale applications.

The second way of obtaining solar power involves the use of photoelectric applications. Photoelectric applications use photovoltaic cells in converting energy from the sun into electricity. Photovoltaic cells are considered low maintenance and well suited to remote applications. They use semiconductors like silicon to convert energy from the sun into electricity.

There are some disadvantages to using solar power. First, a large number of panels may be necessary to produce sufficient amounts of heat or electricity, requiring a significant financial investment. Second, parts of the world that don't receive large amounts of sunlight are not well suited to the generation of this type of power. Third, solar panels cannot be used to generate power at night and the production of power may be impaired when there is significant cloud cover. Still, many experts believe that solar power may one day be a much more practical and widely used resource.
